Suzanne and Nick must go. Richard McComb of the Birmingham Post blog speaks the righteous truth. Get rid of that darned telly in Chamberlain Square. Or at least turn it off when there isn't an event on. Apparently it costs the council £75,000 a year to run, which surprised me. I thought the non-sponsorship money came from the BBC. Not on.

just thought I'd let you know that I commented on this on the Birmingham Post blog - i actually like the Big Screen, although I agree with some of the points (it is to be moved away from the TH i hear) - just mentioned that I thought the article was a bit confused and not constructive. I mean he goes on and about Midlands Today, not the screen really - would he like it more if Central News or A bout de soufflé was on? But for some reason my comment never made it to the blog.

Yeah, my comments (two of them) aren't getting through either yet others are. Moderated comments suck...

I really really hate public televisions with a passion. I can understand if there's an event on but as background noise they're just evil. I will not be swayed on this. ;)
